dblp_author_paper — DBLP author-paper (2017-2026)

Description

A bipartite network of authors and the publications they wrote, from the dblp computer science bibliography. The data are from the XML dump of dblp, the computer science bibliography maintained by the University of Trier and Schloss Dagstuhl, which lists publications from journals, conference proceedings, books, theses and the arXiv Computing Research Repository (CoRR). The collection contains one network for each of two monthly releases of the dump: 2017, from the release of 2 May 2017, and 2026-10, from the release of 3 October 2026. Each record of the dump is a publication of one of the types article (journal articles and CoRR preprints), inproceedings (conference papers), proceedings (edited proceedings volumes), book, incollection (book chapters), phdthesis or mastersthesis, and, in the release of 2026, also data (research data and artifacts); the person records (homepages) of the dump are not used. Authors are identified by their dblp name, which dblp disambiguates by hand where it can (homonymous authors are distinguished by a numeric suffix, e.g. "Wei Wang 0001"), but some of which may still refer to several persons. Nodes are authors and publications, and each edge connects a publication to one of its authors; editors of proceedings volumes are not included, and neither are publications without authors.

The network has the following properties:

name: the name of the author, or the dblp key of the publication.
is_publication: whether the node is a publication (otherwise it is an author).
title: the title of the publication.
year: the year of publication (-1 if missing).
type: the record type of the publication (see above).
venue: the journal (for articles) or the proceedings or book title (for papers in proceedings and book chapters); empty for other types. (Empty, or -1, for authors.)
position (edge): the position of the author in the author list of the publication, starting from 1.
