wikipedia_links_2013 — Wikipedia hyperlinks (2013-2025)

Description

Directed networks of hyperlinks among the articles of five Wikipedia editions, English (en), German (de), French (fr), Italian (it) and Spanish (es), as of late February 2013, and yearly snapshots of the English Wikipedia from 2015 to 2025 (en-2015 to en-2025; as of mid-year, according to LAW, for 2015 to 2023, while the pages of 2024 and 2025 give no date), extracted and distributed by the Laboratory for Web Algorithmics (LAW). Nodes are articles, and a directed edge from one article to another indicates that the first contains a link to the second. Redirects were resolved when computing the links (a link to a redirect points to its target article), and redirect pages are not part of the graphs; namespaced pages (e.g. Template:... or Category:...) are not included either. Self-loops (articles linking to themselves) are present.

The node order differs between the snapshots.

A network of the links of the English Wikipedia from a slightly later dump (March/April 2013), extracted by DBpedia without resolving redirects, including pages in other namespaces and missing pages, and with link multiplicities, is in the entry dbpedia_link.

The node order is the one of the distributed (LLP-permuted) graphs. Vertex property: title, the title of the article. The data were collected with support of the EU-FET grant NADINE (GA 288956).
