cat_cortex — Cat cerebral cortex connectome (1995)
- Description
Directed network of anatomical connections between regions of the cat cerebral cortex, as collated by Scannell et al. from tract-tracing studies in the published literature, and analysed by de Reus and van den Heuvel. Nodes are cortical areas (65 in total, covering the visual, auditory, somatosensory-motor and frontolimbic systems), and a directed edge indicates a reported axonal projection from one area to another (1139 connections). The connection strengths reported in the original collation are not included, and the source file does not contain the names of the areas.
The data were obtained from the graph collection of the Open Connectome Project (now NeuroData), whose servers are offline, via the Internet Archive.
