darkweb — Darkweb hyperlink network (2017)
- Description
The hyperlink network among the websites of the "darkweb" (Tor onion services), collected by V. Griffith, Y. Xu and C. Ratti. The darkweb was crawled through the tor2web proxy onion.link using the commercial service scrapinghub.com, starting from two popular lists of darkweb sites and following all links in breadth-first order; pages requiring a login were not crawled. According to ICON1, the crawl took place between November 2016 and February 2017. Pages were aggregated by second-level (onion) domain, ignoring links within a domain. The data were distributed by A. Clauset.
A directed edge (i, j) indicates that some page on domain i links to some page on domain j.
The network has the following properties:
- Nodes:
name, the onion domain name (without the .onion suffix). - Edges:
weight, the number of pages on domain i linking to pages on domain j.
- Nodes:
