email_enron_law — Enron email network (LAW)
- Description
A directed network of email communication built by the Laboratory for Web Algorithmics (LAW) from the Enron email corpus, the partially anonymised collection of email messages of (mostly senior management) employees of the Enron corporation that was made public by the U.S. Federal Energy Regulatory Commission during its investigation of the company. Nodes are correspondents (email addresses, including addresses outside Enron, whose links are only observed through their exchanges with the mailboxes in the corpus), and a directed edge from x to y indicates that y was the recipient of at least one message sent by x. The network has 69,244 nodes and 276,143 edges, including 1,535 self-loops (messages sent to oneself). Nodes are anonymous (no addresses are given), and edges are unweighted.
This version differs in its construction from other networks derived from the same corpus (e.g. the SNAP
email-Enronnetwork, which is undirected and has 36,692 nodes).
