insna_founders — INSNA founders teacher-student network (1977)
- Description
Teacher-student relationships among the 60 founding members of the International Network for Social Network Analysis (INSNA). When B. Wellman founded INSNA in 1977, he sent a questionnaire to all the founding members, which included questions on who taught each founder and who each founder taught. The data were analyzed by K. Reitz and D. R. White (1989). The data were distributed by L. C. Freeman on his network data page at the University of California, Irvine (no longer online), from which this version was obtained via the Internet Archive.
A directed edge (i, j) indicates that member i taught member j.
The network has the following properties:
- Nodes:
name, the name of the member.
