- Description
A directed friendship network of users of LiveJournal, an online community where members maintain journals and blogs, and can declare which other members are their friends. Nodes are users, and a directed edge $(i, j)$ means that user $i$ declared user $j$ as a friend. The data were collected by L. Backstrom and collaborators by crawling LiveJournal in 2006, when it had almost 10 million members, and distributed by the Stanford Network Analysis Project (SNAP); the network contains the 4.8 million users reached by the crawl. User names are not included. An undirected version of LiveJournal with ground-truth communities, likely derived from the same crawl, is the network
livejournalof the entrysoc_net_comms.
