macaque_cocomac — Macaque cortex CoCoMac connectome (2012)
- Description
Directed network of anatomical connections between regions of the cerebral cortex of the macaque monkey, as used by Harriger, van den Heuvel and Sporns in their analysis of its rich-club organization. The network is derived from the CoCoMac database, which collates the results of hundreds of published tract-tracing studies, as consolidated by Modha and Singh into a single hierarchical parcellation; it comprises 242 cortical regions and 4,090 directed connections. A directed edge indicates a reported axonal projection from one region to another.
The network has the following properties:
- Nodes:
name, the abbreviated name of the cortical region.
The data were obtained from the graph collection of the Open Connectome Project (now NeuroData), whose servers are offline, via the Internet Archive.
