mali_terrorists — Mali terrorist network (2010-2012)
- Description
Network of 36 Islamists and Tuareg rebels involved in the conflict in Mali, in the Sahel-Sahara region, reconstructed by Walther and Christopoulos (2015) from newspaper articles published between 2010 and 2012. Nodes are individuals (vertex property
name), and an edge connects two individuals who interacted, including joint participation in political or military events or political meetings, training in Afghanistan, Iraq or Libya, combat, negotiations for the release of hostages, or involvement in a killing, an abduction or a bombing. Where the two directions in the source matrix differ, the tie is included. Data distributed by the UCINET datasets collection (University of Manchester).1
