ndrangheta_summits — 'Ndrangheta summits (2007-2009)
- Description
Bipartite network of 156 suspected members of the 'Ndrangheta (a Calabrian mafia organisation) in the region of Milan, Italy, and 47 meetings ("summits") they attended between 2007 and 2009. Summits are meetings held to make important decisions and affiliations, to solve internal problems and to establish roles and powers. Attendance was registered by the police through wiretapping and observation during the large investigation "Operazione Infinito", and the network was reconstructed (mostly from pages 87-110) from the pre-trial detention order issued by the preliminary investigation judge of the Court of Milan. Data distributed by the UCINET datasets collection (University of Manchester).
An edge connects a person to a summit they attended. The vertex property
is_summitindicates whether a node is a summit (True) or a person (False). Thenameof a person is their surname and given names, and thenameof a summit gives its date, a description and place (the marker "(L)" is part of the source labels).1
