nlwiki_link_intervals — Dutch Wikipedia hyperlink intervals (2001-2011)
- Description
The evolution of the hyperlinks between the articles of the Dutch Wikipedia, as a temporal network with time intervals, assembled by W. Ligtenberg and Y. Pei as a benchmark for temporal graph analysis. Nodes represent Wikipedia articles, and a directed edge from article $i$ to article $j$ means that article $i$ contained a hyperlink to article $j$ during the time interval given by the edge's start and end times. The data were derived from the dynamic Dutch Wikipedia hyperlink network of Preusse et al. (KONECT's
link-dynamic-nlwiki), whose events record the addition or removal of a hyperlink at a given time: each addition of a link was paired with its subsequent removal to form an interval, and links that were added but never removed (i.e. still present at the end of the data collection) were discarded. Hence the network includes only links that existed temporarily. A link that was added and removed several times gives rise to parallel edges, one per interval. The first link was created on August 28, 2001, and the last removal took place on July 10, 2011. Articles are identified only by the numeric identifiers of the source data; their titles are not included. The network has the following properties:
- Edges:
startandend, the times at which the hyperlink was added and removed (Unix time, seconds).
