november17 — November17 members (2009)

Description

Network of members of the Greek terrorist group Revolutionary Organization 17 November (N17), believed to be defunct, reconstructed by C. J. Rhodes and P. Jones from open-source reporting (Irwin et al., 2002; Abram and Smith, 2004). Nodes are 22 members, and an edge indicates that open-source reporting has demonstrated some connection between the two individuals at some point in the past. The data were distributed with UCINET; edges are undirected.

The network has the following properties (empty values denote missing data):

  • name: the name of the member (full name or nickname).
  • Role: 1 = leader (gives orders), 2 = operational (receives orders).
  • Faction: 1 = first-generation leadership faction, 2 = Koufontinas faction, 3 = Sardanopoulos faction.
  • Resources: the number of resources (money, weapons, safe houses) controlled by the member, from 0 to 3.
