yeast_pin — Yeast protein interactions (2003)
- Description
A network of protein-protein interactions in budding yeast (Saccharomyces cerevisiae), described and analyzed by D. Bu and collaborators, and available as an example of the software package PIN (Protein Interaction Network). Nodes are proteins, and edges are interactions; 536 of the edges are self-interactions (self-loops). The data were transformed into Pajek format by V. Batagelj (2003). The data were distributed in Pajek format on the Pajek datasets page of V. Batagelj and A. Mrvar, from which this version was obtained.
The network has the following properties:
- Nodes:
name, the systematic (ORF) name of the protein;description, the gene name and a short description of the protein (e.g. "ABD1 mRNA cap methyltransferase");pin_class, the class of the protein given in PIN, as a letter code (T, M, U, C, F, P, G, D, O, E, R, B or A; the codes are not further documented in the source).
