mcgrew_preschool — McGrew preschool dominance (1972)
- Description
Competition for toys among the boys of a preschool group in Oxford (England), from the ethological observations of preschool children of W. C. McGrew. "Winners" were the children who ended up with the toy. The data were distributed by L. C. Freeman on his network data page at the University of California, Irvine (no longer online), from which this version was obtained via the Internet Archive.
A directed edge (i, j) indicates that child i won a competition for a toy against child j. The data include 19 children, two of which do not appear in any recorded competition.
The network has the following properties:
- Nodes:
name, the label of the child. - Edges:
weight, the number of competitions won.
